The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino offered a great meet
and greet to the players prior to the Pro/Am activities. From left to right - Tiffany Nelson, Kim Shaw, Gerda Hoffstatter, Kelly Fisher, Val Finnie......can you spell "TROUBLE"  Never bashful, Angel Paglia and Debbie Schjodt pose for the camera.  Jeanette Lee and her daughter Cheyenne chat with "The Viper" Melissa Little and Mark Haddad.  Helena Thornfeldt chuckles as Monica Webb and her sister Karen pose for a mug shot.  Auction items were available for charity. Sports and music collectables galore from the Hard Rock Casino. In case you are wondering the guitar was signed by B.B. King.  A host of players congrigate around the board to see the draw. Then it was time for the Pro/Am and everybody had a ball.....  Allison Fisher whoops out a yell for her team.  Ga Young Kim and Karen Corr taking up for their teams point of view.  Vivian Villarreal doing what Viv does best,.....Having Fun! One day of play later it is time for the "top 16 draw". The following pictures are each player drawing their opponent.  Mark Wilson prepares the chart prior to the 16 draw.  Kelly Fisher was the first to draw out her opponent - Kim Shaw.  Ga-Young Kim tries to read through the paper. She drew Dawn Hopkins.  Jennifer Chen didnt even want to see the name, but she had to look anyway - Allison Fisher.  Cathy Metzinger in her first ever 16 draw. Helena Thornfeldt was the answer.  Usually being drawn, not drawing was Karen Corr. She pulled out Gerda Hoffstatter.  Sarah Ellerby drew Melissa Herndon  Megan was getting coaching from the sidelines. Not sure if the coaching worked, as she drew Xiaoting Pan.  Another first-timer in the 16 draw, Lisa D'Atri was just happy to draw anybody. Monica will face her in the first match.  Not to say that stress levels are a little high during the draw, but Moinica got Megan going on a laughing tear that just wouldnt stop.  Even after Monica left, Megan was still, gone, gone, gone...... TV Semi-finals started with a match between Allison Fisher and Melissa Herndon  Allison bearing down on a shot.  Melissa doing the same.  Both players had to step up the mental game as the match progressed.  Melissa Put up a grand showing,......  But Allison carried the win. Semi-2 saw Ga-Young Kim vs Xiaoting Pan     Ga-Young eventually pulled out the win 7-4. |
